One Flea Spare, Naomi Wallace’s award winning play.

It was premiered at The Bush Theatre in London in 1996 and has never been seen outside London until very recently.  Red Dog toured One Flea Spare around the UK in the Autumn of 2010 and the same production will be coming into London from March 29th – 16th April at The Old Red Lion.

The Plague, London.

On the last day of their month-long quarantine, a wealthy couple’s home is invaded by two strangers – a wandering sailor and a mysterious young girl.

The couple is forced to endure another 28 days of confinement, this time with their new companions.  Unlikely bargains are struck and brutal games are played out in this searing and lyrical drama exploring the politics of compassion, all within the shadow of the grave.

It’s rich and dense, but never less than compelling in a revival that boasts some fine performances”
****4 stars in The Guardian****

London’s scarred, ribald and fetid past has rarely seemed so infectiously alive.”
Time Out

This is possibly the best ensemble of actors I have seen this year. Take an intimate theatre, a marvelous production and a team of excellent actors and you have One Flea Spare.”
On The Fringe

I left the theatre feeling satisfied that I had seen a production which was well acted, well written and well directed.”
